COVID-19 Sanitizer Venture
Born in a Crisis,
Built with Purpose
At the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, our family came together to respond to an urgent national need — safe, high-quality hand sanitizers.
Blue Max India was created during lockdown to support frontline workers, hospitals, and essential services when sanitizer demand had skyrocketed.
Blue Max India was a collaboration between Satpal Aggarwal, K.K. Aggarwal, and Vinod Aggarwal.
On record, the venture partners were Vibhav Aggarwal, Mukesh Aggarwal, and Mohit Aggarwal — representing the next generation.
The project was led by Vinod Tauji, with every family member contributing hands-on from setup to supply.
I supported the venture in an executive capacity, assisting in:
• Factory setup and equipment coordination
• Vendor and raw material sourcing under lockdown
• Licensing and documentation with local authorities
• Banking, purchase, and logistic operations
It was my first exposure to running a regulated manufacturing setup in real time.
⚙️ Execution Under Lockdown
Despite nationwide restrictions, we collectively:
• Set up a functional sanitizer manufacturing line within weeks
• Obtained the required manufacturing license
• Arranged alcohol, bottles, caps, and packaging supplies
• Distributed products to local hospitals and essential services
This was achieved entirely during one of India’s toughest lockdown periods.
• Shortage of raw materials and transport barriers
• Limited manpower and movement passes
• Fast-changing health & safety norms
• Need for strict compliance and product quality assurance
Each challenge tested our adaptability and family coordinatio
Blue Max India successfully operated for about one year (2020–2021).
During this period, we supplied Lakhs of sanitizer units to hospitals, Goverment departments, and organizations — contributing meaningfully to local safety efforts.
• Practical operations and supply chain management
• Regulatory & documentation processes in manufacturing
• Decision-making under pressure and limited resources
• Value of teamwork and cross-generation collaboration
It remains a proud reminder of what can be achieved through unity and purpose.
Though Blue Max India was active for only about a year, its legacy remains in what it taught us: rapid project launch under constraints, cross-functional coordination, and the confidence to build ventures from scratch.
